On Friday July 8th, Chapman Welsh Insurance/Financial Services hosted their first ever company Reunion for past and present staff members to come together to celebrate the rich history of Chapman Welsh which has been in operation for 38 years (1978).
The reunion committee of Frank Welsh, Ross Hultgren, Justin Brown and Robert Nelis did a great job co-ordinating the night, but most importantly coming up with the idea to bring everyone back together was great! We had over 40 people in attendance, it was fantastic to see everyone just fit straight back into the fold, and see everyone interacting like they had never even left Chapman Welsh.
To hear from Frank about where Chapman Welsh originated from, the values it stood for was eye opening, and it definately gave current CWFS staff members an insight into where it all began. Justin Brown's story telling ability from the Corio St office days was also very humerous, enlightening and displayed the culture that is still so relevant in the CWFS Pakington St offices to this day.
Ross Hultgren (Current Chapman Welsh Financial Services Director) discussed the current happenings around CWFS and how the name/brand is very much entrenched into his current staff members. Ross also discussed the strong value of employing family into the business, as Frank & Ray had done in the very early stages of the business to help family/friends succeed in life, which in turn will help them succeed. Current CWFS staff members continue to build/grow the Chapman Welsh brand within Geelong and wider communities.
Then to finally hear from Steven Sells, Robbie Nelis and Greg Welsh to conclude the formailities provided attendee's with a barrell of laughs, stories and re-lived some famous moments throughout their careers at Chapman Welsh.
All in all it was a fantastic night, and judging by the atmosphere in the room, the night was well recieved by everyone in attendance. We look forward to keeping everyone informed of CWFS happenings and events coming up in the future.
